Naeemah Peterson (1985), The Nature of Us explores the effects nature has on our emotions, and how our states of mind and being are affected by the natural world that surrounds us. We are ourselves part of nature and change with the seasons. In colder weather there is naturally more distance and barriers between our naked bodies, and we contort inward in a way. Clear skies have a way of stirring up hope within us, while storms and turbulent winds tell stories of our own turmoil that twists within us.
