Lianca Heemro
A transdisciplinary artist whose artistic practice combines painting, installation, audiovisual, and spatial art. Heemro recently graduated from the Cape Town Creative Academy (2020) with a BA in Contemporary Art. Her paintings pay tribute to her cultural heritage and family roots in Namaqualand. Her goal is to bring awareness to the Nama language, which is mostly only spoken in South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia.
